My Sisters Keeper , Book review for English

My Sisters Keeper is a story of a girl who sues her parents to the right of medical decisions for her own body. Anna was conceived after her older sister was diagnosed with leukemia . She is a perfect match for her sister , and spends all of her time in the hospital donating blood , bone marrow and anything else her sister needs. Anna thinks as herself as a ' guinea pig ' for her sister. When Anna becomes a teenager she decides to sue her parents so that she wont have to give her sister a kidney. What her parents do not know is that Annas older sister , Kate , does actually want to die , and she asks her sister to do all of this for her. 

  Because Kate has cancer , her mother Sara Fitzgerald , Pays alot more attention to Kate than she does  to the rest of her children , and because of this they all start to act out , like the oldest child and only boy ,Jesse , who keeps coming home late and sets a house on fire.

    Throughout the book , Kate falls inlove with another cancer patient . They become very attached to eachother. Kate is heart broken a few days after a date they have because he did not call her. She found out later that day that Taylor had a relaps and died. 
     This was so hard for her that she tried to overdose so that she could be with Taylor , but Anna found her before she succeeded.
       
  Kate could see how much she was hurting her sister by being alive , even though Anna never showed it. So she asked Anna to sue her parents ' for the right to her own body' so she wouldn't have to donate anything ever again , she wanted her sister to live the life that she never got to live.
    Anna loved her sister so much that she agreeded.

The trial went on for months and all through it Kate was getting worse. Kate told her mother , Sara , that she did want to die.

The story ended with Kate dying of cancer , and her family trying to move on with their lives , but never forgetting her.

   This book is a page turner , you will not put it down. It have romance , comedy and sadness , I would definatly reccommened it.

TRICK - OR -TREAT

Wooo it's finally mid-term! :D and Halloween! I'm so excited. But also for the dress up day we're having tomorrow:) Ty's are to dress up as the Adams Family , i'm going to put so much effort into my outfit because i'm in TY & I've loads of time to:) The best dress in each year wins a prize , woooop!

What A Preformance :)

So yesterday all TY stundents in my school went into Dublin to visit museums & see a play in the Abby Theatre , Juno & the Paycock.
  We arrived in Dublin at around tenish , and we hit the firts museum which was all about W.B Yeats , it  was so interesting because we were able to see all of the actual origional poems that he had written , and we were able to see everything that had happened in his life & we also learned about the love of his life Maud Gonne & how he expressed his love for her but she never returned it.
   After the Yeats exhibition , we went to see the bog bodies! They were so scary & interesting at the same time. They were just normal people who were murdered in Ireland & then found , we were able to see the actual remains of the bodies!
    Next was MCDONALS!! By this stage everyone was starving , so when lunch time hit , we all litrally ran down Grafton Street so that we could que and get our food quick & then walk around town for a while :)
    After lunch it was time to go to the Abby to watch Juno & The Paycock. To be honest , after reading the book I did not think that I would enjoy the play , because personally I found the book hard to follow , but when the curtains opened and the play began , I never once took my eyes off the stage , it was amazing! It was dramatic , romantic , and had the irish humour too , all in all I thought the play was amazing and I would definatly recommend it to anybody who has read the play , because I found that it was totally different watching it.

It was a great day all together :)

BOOO!

Yaaay about time , Halloweens almost here! I am most excited for having a break of school & projects for a week , but also  i'm excited for the day we get off for our mid-term because we get t dress up that day & have a competition for the best dress in each year & the winner gets a prize wooo!
   This year , since i'm in TY i am going to put sooo much effort into my outfit.
Hopfully it'll be a great daaay , BOOOO!

STORY TIME!

In English we have been reading the Irish novel ' Juno and the peacock '. At the start if the year our teacher told us that after we read it she will bring us to see the play in Dublin , so we were so egar to finish the book , and now we have finished the book & we're going into Dublin to see it tomorrow yaaay! :D We're getting an early 9 O'clock bus from the school & we will be spending the whole day in Dublin visiting museums & watching the play , and at lunch time we get to go anywhere in Grafton Street :)
   I'm so excited for tomorrow & I hope it's a good day overall :)

EARFOAMS TO WIN MINI COMPANY 2011!!

Yesterday we had another TY mini company meeting outside school :) We went to Newbriodge and it was sooo much fun. Orla was there again telling us all about businesses and helping everyone with their projects and  listening to ideas.
    We were all prepared for this day because we had all of our market research done in pie & bar charts.  After the meeting yestaerday , before going home our teachers let us go to the abrakadabra across the road to get food , it was so much fun & overall a great day!

OVERWHELLMED !

Okay , the start of TY was so great , not having to worry about a thing!  NOOOW i'm so stressed about all the project i've got to have done! But i've decided to make a list each week of things I have got to do , this is my list for this week :

• Do surveys for mini company
• Get started on English project
• Start writting up geography project
• Finish translating Irisj project
• Experiment young scientist project

Hopefully this list will get me more organised & back on track!
   Other than thats it['s been another hreat few weeks i'n TY. We're going to a mini cpompany meeting in Newbridge tomorrow with should be great fun! :)

QUICK BLOG!

Tomorrow is our FUN WALK 2011 wooo! and our class is a tad behind on our dance , so we're all doing this quick bog & then going out to practice yaaay!
    Our dance is pretty good so far , a bit of ups & downs but it's holding together and i think we'll get it in the end :)   GO BANANAS B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Countdown for the walk!:)

Only two more days until our fun walk , yaaaay!:) The theme for TYs is yellow , and my class are determind to w!in!  On the day the TYS  are first to preform because we have to go around Celbridge and make sure everyone will be okay on the walk:)
  I'm so excited for my classes dance , its really fun & nobody else would think of what we're doing!
 We found our dance in youtube and then we put our owhn twist on it ;)

Thursday Activities yaaaay:)

Every year in school , Thursdays seemed to be the loooongest days in school , so thankfully this year...they've done something for us TY's . After lunch we all get changed into our PE gear and do activities for the last three classes:) So far we've done palatas , dancing and photography! It makes that day go by sooo much faster!:D
    Last week in Photography Rob Love brought us outside to take some pictures , it was so much fun! We ran around outside with our cameras taking loads of pics , and when we came back into the classroom he looked at our pictures.
  In dancing we are learning the oldie dances , like the charlton...its so much crack! Mrs O'Reily is our dancing teacher and is so much crack in the class.
  For palatas we have an instructer that teaches us , its a great class.

JC RESULTS :D

Our Junior Cert results came out last week , the 14th of September. The day started off so horrible , everyone was sooo nervous!
  In all of our classes the teachers were being nice and just letting us talk , or just sit there...no work , it was greeeat! 
   It then came to the class before the results , I was in music , we were so scared. We were the called down to the hall to collect our results.
 We were all lined up in our old classes , it was weird cause I was so used to my new one. When your name was called you took the envelope and left the school immeditly. When I recieved mine , i took it and ran out of the school! got as far away from the school with some friends and we all tore open the envelope.
Everyone was so happy with their results.
  And now it was time for the celebration!  EVERYONE was going out to the Time Venue that night. It was a great night , so many people were there and the music was amazing!
A DAY & NIGHT TO REMEMBER! :)

Carlingford :)

We left for Carlingford at seven o'clock that Monday morning. Everyone was so excited waiting for the bus at esso , but so tired...but when we were on the bus the buzz began! :) The bus ride was truely the begining , everyone was singing & chatting and soooo excited for the two days ahead of us. The journey took two hours , but it flew by.
    When we finely arrived we all ran to get our bags out , which was pointless because it took about fifteen minutes :L After getting our bags we met with two instructers who brought us to our hostel and we began out first activity! :D
    Our first activity was LASERS!! Which most definatly the best thing there and was a great way to start.
Our instructure for laser was Matt. He was such a buzz:) For lasers we were all in a oneseey army tracksuit , so stylish , and an army cap. It was so much fun just being able to run around in the forest & get all dirty and not caring about how everyone looked.
  After that was lunch. For the two  days we were there we had sausages , beans and chips...and sausagerolls , chips and beans , which was so nice and got us all so full.
 Our last activity that day was the night link. It was amazing. The instructers took us up into the forest at night , pitch black , and we wore blindfolds and walked around the forest together..it was amazing! bet we all looked so stupid though! :L
  Finely we were all waiting for the night time...especially being able to go chineese...YUM!:) After we ngot chineese we all came back to the centre and sat in the sitting room with the boys school who were also there. It was such a buzz...everyone got up to sing :) It then hit eleven and Ms.Leahy gave us her goodnight rap & we were off to sleep...so they thought :L when we got up to our rooms the buzz really started , it was especially good having so much people in our room...we were so lucky to get a n12 room! Everyone brought soooo much food and we all pigged out half way through the night. We all hit the pillow at about two in the morning...so you could only imagine how tired we were the next day :L
   After a short night sleep , alarms started going off for us go get up...we were in no hurry :L
We had to be in the breakfast area for eight that morning , of course we were late :L but we still got breakie and were off for the day:)
   At the start of that day we went mountain climbing and absailing , it was amazing! After that we  came back for lunch and went to our afternoon activity which was orrintering , it was good but i think everyone was too tired at that stage , we justr wanted to sleep on the bus and be home.
We left carlingford at five that day. It truely was a day to remember
